Title: Khvorost (Filhozes)

2 Eggs
6tbWater
2tbPort wine
1/2tsAlmond ext
2tbSugar
3cFlour
1/4tsSalt
1tbMelted butter

Beat eggs slightly. Add water, wine, and almond extract. Sift and mix together dry ingredients. Stir into first mixture. Pour in melted butter when partly mixed. Roll out very thing. Cut into squares. Make a cut in one corner and pull the opposite corner through. Fry in deep fat until brown and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Dobru' chut'! My mom called them crullers. My sister's Scandinavia in-laws call them fattigmand.
